My favourite essential oils in times of crisis

There is no doubt that we are experiencing a different kind of April. At this time of year, we are usually gearing up for Spring and all the busy-ness that accompanies that. This year, however, we are spending that time close to home. While the extra time with family might sound ideal, the circumstances can be very overwhelming.

To help balance out my emotions and physical well-being, I have been using two roller blends on full rotation. The first is Doterra’s Past Tense.

Past Tense

Past Tense provides grounding and helps to balance emotions. Known for their soothing effects on both the mind and body, the essential oils in PastTense quickly, promote feelings of relaxation and calm emotions.

I use this in the morning when I wake up and throughout the day as needed. It wakes me up but also can have a grounding effect when I start to feel overwhelmed.  This one is rolled onto my temples, nape of neck and between my shoulder blades

In the evenings, I have found Clary Calm to be my go-to.

Clary Calm

Doterra’s Clary Calm is known for its hormone balancing characteristics. Which is why it provides a soothing and calming effect during a woman’s menstrual cycle. A topical blend of Clary Sage, Lavender, Bergamot, Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Fennel, Carrot Seed, Palmarosa, and Vitex, ClaryCalm provides a cooling effect to the skin and help balance emotions.

I’ve been using clary calm in the evening and before bed to calm me down. There’s something very comforting about this blend for me.  I like to roll this onto my chest, wrists, back of my neck and lower belly.

These two blends have been the MVPs of our social distancing and isolation practices. If you’d like more information on either or if you have any questions about any of the Doterra oils or blends, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
