Siberian Fir is one of my favourite oils. It has the ability to cultivate strength, grounding, confidence and, above all, personal power.
Given our current climate, I can’t think of anything we need more right now. Siberian Fir’s woody and earthy scent reminds me of my favourite yoga pose, tree pose. I love this pose for its ability to bring my focus back to my own strength and personal power.
Perhaps it is because the Siberian fir tree is a tall and grand. It is also native to Canada. The refreshing, woody scent produces a calming and relaxing aroma. I’ve been defusing it daily to take advantage of these healing properties.
How to use Siberian Fir
Applied topically after a strenuous activity, it helps to soothe tired muscles. Combine a few drops with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil and apply liberally to any troublesome areas.
For a more global calming, try adding a few drops to your diffuser. Allow the aroma to fill the room. Its unique chemical composition enhances its natural earthy aromas, creating a calming and grounded scent profile.
Additionally, try adding a few drops of Siberian Fir to a glass of water. It is known to offer relief for those suffering from asthma, cough, fever, cold & flu, sinusitis, rheumatism and arthritis.
In addition, it has uplifting characteristics, allowing for a grounding and calming experience designed to also heighten the senses. Given the heaviness of our environment right now, it has been a favourite in our house.
It also has the added benefit of making the house smell like Christmas! Which would typically feel wrong at this time of year, but has been oddly comforting, so we’re all for it.
