What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment.

Dermaplaning involves exfoliating the skin using a single-use disposable, stainless steel surgical blade. The service is comprised of a series of short upward strokes, performed at a 45-degree angle.  These strokes exfoliate the skin while removing the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the skin’s surface. Because your practitioner will be using gentle pressure only, there isn’t any worry about piercing the skin.

Although there is often concern when removing facial hair in this manner,  it is physiologically impossible for vellus hair to grow back thicker and darker. After the treatment, your practitioner will offer a soothing serum, moisturizer and high quality sun protection.  This will help to soothe, hydrate and protect the skin.

What are the Benefits?

Dermaplaning provides an effective and safe exfoliation treatment. In turn, it allows the skin to better absorb serums and moisturizers.  It effectively boosts the effects of skin care products. Your skin will feel soft and smooth.   Dermaplaning is also known to reduce the appearance of acne scarring and pigmentation.

Best of all, it works on almost all skin types and provides beautifully noticeable results with no downtime.
